Tenant Activity Grants

BC Housing provides Tenant Activity Grants (TAG) to fund programs and activities that promote wellness, self-development, leadership and community building in public housing communities.

TAG funding is available to residents of BC Housing’s public housing developments only. We provide grants for annual or special event funding. Click on the links below for more information.

Annual funding
Registered tenant associations interested in organizing events and programs for public housing tenants can apply for funding. These activities must be supported by the community and available to all tenants.

Examples of some projects that have been funded in the past include bus trips, movie nights, community kitchens, seasonal parties, and after school programs.

Partnerships with other public housing communities, neighbourhood houses or community centres are also eligible for funding under this program.

Applications are now available for 2007/08. Please note that the application deadline is April 13, 2007.

Special event funding
Informal tenant groups, such as social and special event committees, can apply for a maximum of $1000 to hold an event, up to five times a year. There is no deadline to apply for this special event funding. We accept applications throughout the year.

Special event funding application forms are available through your local Property Portfolio Manager (PPM) or Community Developer only.
