Public housing advisory council

The Public Housing Advisory Council represents tenants living in public housing developments managed by BC Housing. Council members are elected for a two-year term.

Mission
The Public Housing Advisory Council is a volunteer group of elected tenant representatives from across the province that works with BC Housing to enhance the well-being of tenant communities. The council fosters tenant involvement and advises BC Housing on policy decisions.

Vision
The council envisions self-determined communities, with a strong support structure and suitable facilities, where everyone cares for each other and shows respect.

Strategic Goals
  • To achieve better communication between the council and tenants at large.
  • To become a more effective body.
  • To expand tenant involvement in their communities.
  • To provide constructive tenant input at appropriate levels of BC Housing.
  • To work in partnership with other social housing advocates.
