BC Housing is a provincial crown agency under the Ministry of Housing and Social Development . We report through a Board of Commissioners appointed by the Lieutenant-Governor. Our Board Chair is Brenda Eaton . Minister Rich Coleman is the Minister of Housing and Social Development.

The Board of Commissioners sets the strategic directions for the organization, in cooperation with senior management, and ensures that BC Housing’s business is the government’s housing priorities.

Shareholder's Letter of Expectations
The Shareholder's Letter of Expectations is a letter of agreement between the Minister Responsible for Housing and the Chair of the British Columbia Housing Management Commission that defines the respective roles and responsibilities of both the Ministry and BC Housing, and serves as an agreement on the corporate mandate, including high-level performance expectations, public policy issues and strategic priorities.
