Agnes Ross, Executive Director of Human Resources
For more than a decade, Agnes Ross has lead BC Housing’s HR team and stewarded the organization’s growth from just over two hundred staff members to the almost six hundred people it employs today.

Most of BC Housing’s growth occurred at a time when the province was beginning to experience the effects of retiring baby-boomers and an increased competition for talent. To ensure that the organization had the people it needed to carry a larger and more challenging mandate, Agnes led the development of a number of innovative programs in support of a strategic People Strategy. The BC Housing People Strategy reflects best practices in employee development and recognition and a culture of accountability.

Prior to 1997, Agnes Ross managed the Human Resources function for organizations like Consumer and Corporate Affairs and the Woodlands Institution. Agnes brings with her an extensive background in all functional areas of Human Resources Management.

Agnes is designated as a Certified Human Resources Practitioner (CHRP) with Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and English from the University of Calgary.
